Nickel reinforced graphite Nickel reinforced graphite

Semi-rigid material.
A semi-rigid laminated material manufactured from high purity exfoliated graphite reinforced with Nickel or Stainless foil or tanged stainless steel. It is suitable for sealing against steam and most other media with the exception of strongly oxidising reagents. It is recommended for use at 350ºC and for pressures up to 2900psi. General material grades available from SPG include:
SPG1
A semi-rigid laminated graphite material manufactured by a process which bonds two layers of graphite foil to a thin nickel reinforcement layer. The material contains no binder, respirable fibre or other additive and is totally non- toxic.
